Two fine windward – leeward races kept the fleet of five Italia Yachts engaged on the ORC World Championship regattas in Sibenik, Croatia until Saturday, June 8. Sun and about twelve / fifteen knots on short have allowed the fleet to compete two good regattas although, due to the great tension, the Committee had to start three times, and raise the black flag, before get a good one. Enzo De Blasio’s Sugar finished the finish of Race 2 first, winning a nice second place on handicap that, with the seventh in race 3, the last launched 11.98 allows to regain 19 positions in a single day and close the day in tenth place in the overall ranking. Behind , same points 38, Corrado Annis ‘s IY 9.98 Lady Days, and at 15th the sistership Take a Five Jr with 55 points. A good day for Rudolf Vrestal’s IY 9.98 Giulia, who remains consistent in finishing in tenth place and is eighth in the overall list with 30 points. The spearhead continues to be the Ott Kikkas’s IY 11.98 Sugar 3 , with Sandro Montefusco at the helm who, with a seventh and a first place today, had been ranked the second step of the podium with 9 points.
