Gap 5 IY 11.98 Bellissima launch
A new IY 11.98 Bellissima put the bulb in the water, baptized by Adriana Stecconi. This is Gap 5 by Giovanni Stecconi who will soon bring his new creature to Ancona. A family passion and a name handed down for generations: Gap acronym for Groups Armed Partisans, for Giovanni Stecconi on board since the ’70s on the first Gap, a glorious 34′, before moving on to Gap 2 One Tonner “innovative boat because it was built in aluminium, in Germany ”says Stecconi. Then Gap 3 a project by Ron Holland “with which we finished second in an Italian championship and by a hair we did not qualify for the Admiral’s Cup” continues Stecconi “So a Gap 4 with which we finished second in a European” and now a Gap 5. A beautiful version, however, for regatta but not too much … “yes, I still want to have fun doing some regattas, but I focus on the regatta-cruise class, perhaps with the Corinthian crew”. In short, the choice went on a sailboat with a very racing but very comfortable vocation. We will soon meet Gap 5 by sea and certainly in some competition, so as not to lose the habit.
